This gourd top turned upside
down is painted black inside.
Asphaltium was packed into
the grouve cut around the top
and small hishi beads were
carefully placed into the
asphaltium. A small piece of
deer hide supports a small
crack in the top edge and holds
a shell disc and bone beads.
Hishi measures 4 inches tall
by 4.5 inches across.
